Be honest. The last time you found a protocol that worked for you, you found the results…positively addictive.

And it should be. After all, taking care of your skin should be a fabulous feeling. Refreshing, rejuvenating, energizing—the way you look should impact how you feel throughout the day.

But now that you’re aware of Facial Cupping, you’re still left with one question:
When and how often should you practice it for optimal results? Let’s answer that question to eliminate all the guesswork.

How Often Should I Practice Facial Cupping for the Best Results?

Between 1-3 times per week. It will fit neatly into almost any schedule. In fact, one big problem
is that it might work so well, you’ll be tempted to do it more.

  • But don’t! Stick to 1-3 times per week.

When Should I Practice Facial Cupping for the Best Results?

In the evenings before bedtime.

But let’s take out all the guesswork. After all, consistency is key. A Facial Cupping session or two can help, but it’s the consistency of your efforts that will give you truly life-changing results.

After all, you wouldn’t exercise for one or two days and declare yourself “in shape.” But with consistency, exercise can change your life.

It’s the same with Facial Cupping.

But you should also support your skin as it adapts to your new Facial Cupping protocol. That’s why I’ve laid out a schedule for a new long-term natural beauty ritual. This will ease the skin’s layers, connective tissues, and muscles into a routine your face can handle:

Week :

Start with short periods every day—ideally 5-15 minutes. This is “short practice.” Use this time to familiarize yourself with key cupping techniques. That’s it. This short practice will enhance blood circulation into your facial muscles, kickstarting the regenerative process. Think of this as your “warm-up” period. You’re waking up the muscles and announcing your new intention.

Week :

Were you consistent in Week 1? Good, because now you can space up your cupping ritual to every other day. Your skin will acclimate to the vacuum sensation of your cups. Your lymphatic system will awaken. At this point, you’ll grow in confidence.
You’ll know how much your skin can handle. You’ll learn which local areas require different pressure on the cups. Use this time wisely! It’s when the protocol can really become your own.

Week and onwards:

Dial it down to 1-3 days per week. Integrate Facial Cupping as part of your natural beauty routine—but not nightly. Why? Rest days give your skin time to regenerate. Just like “rest days” between workouts, this is when you’ll really make progress. Even if you get instant results, 1-3 days per week will be more than enough to maintain those results.

The Benefits of Facial Cupping Consistency

How fanatical should you be about consistency? In a word, be religious about it.

In the long run, you’ll thank yourself for this dedication. True, life can be busy. It’s easy to skip a session, or say “my results have been good enough—I’m skipping today.”

But aging is always happening, right? So to keep giving yourself the best benefits, your Facial Cupping should be a regular routine. If you have to, set an alarm or a smart speaker reminder!

Believe me—the consistency will pay off. Eventually, you’ll reach a stage where you don’t even need a mirror to follow your routine. The routine will become easier. And that means consistency will get even easier, too.

Why bother with all this consistency? Imagine all the benefits you can get if you can Facial Cup 1-3 times per week:

  • Releasing stored tension and emotion
  • Relaxing your facial muscles
  • Connecting your internal systems (Through acupressure activation) to encourage the flow of “Qi,” your vital energy or life-force that flows through your body in meridian channels
  • Smoothing and toning your skin
  • Strengthing connective tissues
  • Encouraging healthy lymphatic drainage
  • Boosting fibroblasts and collagen production

The Night Shift

Sleep is the great regenerator. That’s why nighttime is the best time to practice Facial Cupping. Do it before bed. Heck, make it part of your relaxation routine! Facial Cupping is restorative and de-stressing. It could even help you unwind after a long day. You’ll feel revived, refreshed, and lighter—both facially and mentally.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach to natural beauty maps your face. Think of your face as the “book” that lets you read all about your health. Every organ, gland, system, and working part of the body can physically manifest in the face. And so does emotion.

Daily life shows up on the face. Laughing. Crying. Frowning. Surprise. Frustration. Eating. Yawning. Smiling. The facial area is like a record of it all. Our muscles pull into many expressions and contortions that spring out of our emotions. This effect sits within your muscle memory bank.

With consistency, those emotions manifest as lines and wrinkles.

Notice that key word—consistency.

With consistency, your Facial Cupping in the evenings can help release any stagnant energy or emotions you have. And you can replace inner feelings of stress and worry with positive energy. This relaxation alone can give you some of that relief.

With reduced tension, you’ll encourage yourself to sleep in peace. This gives you better sleep.
Better sleep rejuvenates your skin. With this whole routine in place, you’ll be in an optimum position to repair cells and enjoy regeneration.

Sleep Well, You Beautiful Creature!

“Beauty sleep.”

We’ve all heard of it. But did you know that the existence of “beauty sleep” is a scientifically-proven fact?

The skin works on its own circadian rhythm. The overnight hours are go-time for damage repair. They’re primetime for cell and tissue renewal.

Nighttime is when skin cells turn over more quickly. Melatonin, our sleep hormone, works like a powerhouse to increase antioxidant levels. This repairs the skin from free radicals (like what we get from pollution and UV). The skin becomes more permeable.

This makes it more receptive to key nutrients, further supporting regeneration. What’s the opposite of a “vicious cycle?” A “virtuous cycle.” That’s what you have going for you when you incorporate a Facial Cupping routine. All the positive benefits start to piggy-back on each other.

These techniques will help you further penetrate your skin. This fills your skin with vitamins, essential fatty acids, hydration, and nourishment. Imagine how good your beauty sleep is going to be when it’s properly nourished.

Oh, and one more thing… …don’t forget to give yourself the best night’s sleep possible:

  • Switch off all devices at least an hour before bed. If you have to, leave your phone to charge outside your bedroom to resist the temptation to scroll in that eye-reddening light!
  • Treat yourself to a warming herbal night tea to quiet the senses. Make sure it’s caffeine-free.
  • Incorporate breath work into your evening wind-down. Box breathing, for example, calms the nervous system. But simply sitting and inhaling and exhaling slowly will be effective.
  • Select your favorite soothing essential oil. Place a few drops into a diffuser to help set the scene, lulling you into a rest.
  • Use your index finger, on the “yintang” acupressure point. You can find this at the glabella (or midpoint between your eyebrows), helping to calm your spirit (or “shen” in TCM).
