Choosing the right oil for Facial Cupping is as important as choosing the right cups.

Here’s why.

Facial Cupping helps active ingredients penetrate and nourish the skin to help it look its best. You’re not just randomly slapping on oil and hoping for the best. You’re choosing what goes into your skin. And what you put into your skin, what penetrates the deepest layers, is vital.

IMO, the best oil for facial cupping is prickly pear seed oil.

Allow me to explain.

Prickly pear seed oil is a soothing oil you can extract from a prickly pear cactus. Yes—a cactus! Opuntia ficus-indica, more specifically. This is a plant common to the southwestern U.S., Mexico, South America, and Northern Africa (Morroco, Tunisia, Egypt).

I know. It sounds counterintuitive. Can the best oil for Facial Cupping really come from a desert cactus?

Aren’t those all dried out and…well, prickly?

But when you think about it, prickly pear cacti need to maintain moisture in the desert. And to do so, they need some downright powerful nutrition for retaining the integrity of their own peel.

There’s a reason prickly pears look so good out in the desert. And you can find it in the oil!

As it turns out, this oil can do similar wonders for us—when we know how to apply it.

What’s so great about prickly pear seed oil, anyway?

Prickly pear seed oil comes jam-packed with skin-healthy benefits. But to convey all these skin-rejuvenating benefits, I’ll have to use bullet points:

Hydration

Prickly pears are experts at staying hydrated in the desert. But you don’t live in the desert. So imagine getting all of those hydrating benefits in the comfort of your home!

Oleic Acid

Oleic acid is a skin-supporting oil, combating free radical damage and helping you resist the appearance of dark spots.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K promotes healthy circulation. In addition to lightening dark circles and hyperpigmentation, Vitamin K can help “brighten” the skin, restoring a natural glow that only comes with proper skin nutrition.

Vitamin E

Prickly pear seed oil has the highest vitamin E Content on the market. Vitamin E is essential nutrition for the skin health and appearance. This naturally occurring antioxidant promotes protection against the daily free radicals our skin has to face,. which can cause premature signs of ageing (such as fine lines and wrinkles) and an uneven skin tone.

Reducing the likelihood of acne

Bountiful in amino acids—proteins, in other words—this oil provides the much-needed building blocks behind collagen production. High collagen production can help to heal and rejuvenate your skin, restoring it to its natural elasticity.

Anti-inflammatory properties

Sick of a dry, irritated, inflamed face? Sick of the inflammatory problems that cause dry scalp? The anti-inflammatory properties of Prickly Pear Seed Oil won’t get in the way of your body’s natural instinct to heal itself and keep you looking your best.

Versatility

Sometimes, in skin care, it can be difficult to find oil that’s best for your type of skin. Dry skin. Oily skin. Mature skin. Acne prone skin. Sensitive skin. Yet Prickly Pear Seed Oil is versatile enough to handle just about any skin, providing the benefits you just read above.

Why use prickly pear seed oil with facial cupping?

Facial Cupping is highly beneficial, but you need to apply a lubricating, rejuvenating, skin-friendly oil when you do it, otherwise it can damage the skin.

Enter Prickly Pear Seed Oil.

Yes, you could use all sorts of oils to help with Facial Cupping. Expensive luxury brands are all too happy to charge you an arm and a leg for this oil. Other oils, like almond oil, will work just fine.

A Free Protocol to Make Sure You See Results

If you want the best results, follow my 6-Step Protocol. I outline this protocol in my online workshops…

…and it comes free with the Facial Cupping Starter Kit.

  • So why Prickly Pear Seed Oil specifically?

For starters, luxury brand oils often add essential oils. That’s a nice thought and all, but they can sometimes irritate and damage your skin. Dermatitis, dryness, redness, itchiness—these aren’t your goals. So try to keep the oil ingredients simple. Me, I always tend to use pure products on my face. However, some pure oils like coconut oil could be comedogenic. When used with Facial Cupping, there’s the potential for pore-clogging.

That means you need two things:

  • Use a simple, straightforward, pure ingredient
  • Make sure that ingredient is right for Facial Cupping!
  • Why is it so important?

Facial Cupping has a cumulative effect on your skin’s nourishment. In other words, it makes the nutrition you’re putting on the skin more effective. It helps the active ingredients penetrate and provide the nourishment your skin needs to look its best.

So when you’re Facial Cupping, choosing the right oil is even more important. You’re not just randomly slapping on some oil and hoping for the best. You’re choosing what also goes into your skin. You’re choosing what can reach the deeper layers of your skin.

  • Why is Prickly Pear Seed Oil the ultimate choice for Facial Cupping?

Prickly Pear Seed Oil is great for Facial Cupping thanks to its unique nutrition profile:

  • 60.5% Linoleic Acid (Omega 6). This fatty acid will give moisture to the skin while also serving as an anti-inflammatory. It can even heal acne in some cases!
  • 20% Oleic Acid (Omega 9). Moisturizing, soothing, but light—this is a premier fatty acid for nourishing the skin and leaving your face feeling smooth.
  • Vitamin E. With 150% more Vitamin E than Argan oil, Prickly Pear Seed Oil delivers the goods. Vitamin E can help regenerate cells, reduce hyper-pigmentation of skin cells, heal scar tissue, and even improve the moisture and softness of how your skin feels to the touch.
  • Vitamin K. Stimulating skin cell growth, reducing the darkness you often see under the eyes, preserving the elasticity of your skin—it seems like Vitamin K can do it all. Get enough of it into the skin and you’ll likely feel a “glow” you don’t otherwise have.

Some have called it a “miracle face elixir.” Others, “a treasured oil with countless virtues.” Still others, a “jouvenence elixir.”

I just call it great for Facial Cupping!

It’s these miracle-like qualities that made me decide to source this specific oil above all the others. Yes, it’s the most expensive oil on the market. But sometimes if you want the results you’re after, you have to source the very best.

That’s what I do. Here’s a photo of a recent trip I took to Morocco, where I find my source for Prickly Pear Seed Oil.

I was lucky to witness each step of the process to create this unique oil where each drop contains the most incredible qualities—and it’s like nothing else you’ll find.

  • The Sourcing of Prickly Pear Seed Oil

A lot of work goes into producing a 30 ml bottle of Prickly Pear Seed Oil.

It’s cold pressed from those tiny seeds. (Did you know that only 5% of the seed contains oil, as opposed to the 50% composition of almond oil?)

It takes over 1 million seeds and 36 hours of labor just to get a liter of this oil.

Believe me. The juice (or oil, in this case) is worth the squeeze.

I source mine from Women’s Cooperatives with strong ethical values in Morocco. After all, we don’t want to get this oil from unethical sources.

The benefit to you?

You get all of the wonderful qualities of Prickly Pear Seed oil included automatically when you order a Facial Cupping Starter Kit. It’s simply the best oil to combine with Facial Cupping. And I’m only interested in offering the very best.
